Unfortunately the company that manufactures Zeuterin is having problems finding a distributor to make their product available for purchase.  We have run out of our supply and will be unable to restock until this distribution issue is resolved.  We will update this page as soon as Zeuterin becomes available again.

Zeuterin is a new FDA approved, permanent, nonsurgical alternative to traditional neutering for dogs.  At this time Zeuterin has not been approved for use in cats.

  • Less invasive
  • Shorter recovery time
  • No anesthesia or surgical risk
  • Less painful
  • Usually less expensive than surgical neutering

First contact our office to make an appointment to have the procedure done. Zeuterin can be performed during a house call or vaccine clinic. The procedure takes about 10-20 minutes. You can fill out a New Client form on our website in advance.

When your dog arrives he will first be given examination to determine if he is a good candidate for the procedure.  To be eligible the dog must be at least 3 months old, have both testicles descended, no irregular lumps or growths on the testicles, have no history of testicular cancer or sexually transmitted disease, and have no skin lesions or irritation on the scrotal skin.  The testicles are also measured and must have a width of 10-27mm.

Once a pet is determined to be eligible they are given a sedative and pain control injection.  The testicles are then cleaned and prepped.  Each testicle is then injected with the appropriate amount of Zeuterin solution.  Your pet will then be tattooed with a green "Z" to indicate that he has been sterilized with Zeuterin.  Once the tattoo is completed your pet will be given an injection to reverse the sedation as well as an injection of a NSAID medication to help reduce post procedure pain and swelling.  Upon completion you will receive a certificate of sterilization and a Zeuterin ID tag for your dog.

At vaccine clinics- $140

House calls- House call fee plus $140, call or email for specific house call prices
