Heartworm and FeLV Testing

FeLV/FIV- $40.  It is best to determine your pets status before FeLV vaccination.  Positive pets should not be vaccinated.  Vaccinating a positive pet will not clear the infection making the vaccine a waste of your money.

Canine heartworm- $35.  Heartworm testing is highly recommended for any dog before starting any form of heartworm prevention.  Pets that are positive can have a potentially fatal reaction to the sudden die off of worms following administration of a preventative product.  A quick test is all it takes to make sure your pet can avoid this potentially serious complication.  Pets must have current documentation of a negative heartworm test before any form of heartworm prevention products can be purchased through OMVS.
